In Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, the police recently cracked a big case of organized retail theft. On the evening of February 18th, they got a call about a shoplifting incident at an Ulta store. When the officers got there, they didn’t just find the suspects; they also found their car packed with stolen goods. We’re talking hundreds of bottles of fancy cologne and perfume!

But that’s not all. The police also discovered a stash of over a hundred athletic shoes, some designer handbags, and even tracksuits. The two guys they caught, both in their 30s and from Cuba, seem to have been busy with these thefts not just in Wisconsin but in other states too. And get this, one of them is even wanted by U.S. Customs Officials.

Now, both men are facing some serious charges for retail theft and are currently in the Racine County Jail. This whole situation sheds light on how big an issue organized retail crime is and the kind of impact it has on our local shops.
